Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 July 2026

1. What KeenStats is

KeenStats provides a hosted analytics dashboard at keenstats.com and self-hosted analytics backend software that you run on your own infrastructure. The dashboard connects your browser directly to the backend you operate; your analytics data is stored on your infrastructure, not ours.

2. Accepting these terms

By using keenstats.com or the KeenStats software you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. Your account

Signing in to the dashboard uses your Google account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your backend access tokens secret.

4. Your backend, your data, your responsibilities

When you run the KeenStats backend, you are the operator and data controller of the analytics you collect. You are responsible for: complying with laws that apply to your apps and users (including providing any required privacy notices and obtaining any required consents), securing the server you deploy to, and backing up your data. KeenStats has no access to your backend or the data in it.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to collect data unlawfully, to infringe others' rights, or to attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service or anyone else's systems.

6. Software licences

Where KeenStats software is purchased, it is licensed, not sold, and the licence terms accompanying the purchase apply alongside these terms.

7. No warranty; limitation of liability

The service and software are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, KeenStats will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data on infrastructure you operate. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms or change or discontinue parts of the hosted service; material changes will be reflected on this page. You can stop using the service at any time; self-hosted backends keep working independently of the hosted dashboard.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
